Once Upon a Time….

I had the great fortune and adventure of spending years traveling around the world, designing programs and events for entrepreneurs and multidisciplinary leaders. The settings were often surreal, and the people I had the opportunity to work and live with were exceptional - people who generously shared their bold ideas, open-hearted friendship, grace in times of tension, and wisdom about how to face uncertainty. These teams and communities forever shaped my understanding of what is possible and the work I continue to do today. A few highlights and details of my roles below.

The first chapters…

  • Unreasonable at Sea: Sailing around the world with the incredible crew at Unreasonable at Sea, we brought 10 mission-driven startups on a traveling accelerator to visit 13 countries around the world.

  • Summit Series: Leading programming @Summit for many years offered a life-changing opportunity to work on a team with tremendous heart and creativity. And an opportunity to spend my days working with speakers and connecting with members of a community who live outside the bounds of traditional career paths - those who pour themselves into building groundbreaking companies, organizations, and movements.

  • Summit Impact: After years of stewarding internal social impact, safety, and equity initiatives at Summit alongside programming, in 2020 I spun out a partner 501(c)(3), Summit Impact, to focus exclusively on social good. With a remarkable board and collective effort, we worked to ignite the Summit community in support of Summit Fellows and to create a regenerative and equitable future together. You can see one of our Annual Reports here, and a few honest reflections from my time as founding ED posted here.

If you’re interested in advisory around fellowship programs, impact labs, and social good organizations, I’m happy to connect and share anything that may be helpful - from the bright successes to what I’ve learned (and am still learning) from the missteps I made along the way, to the complexities of working on social impact in our current global context.
